After founding the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland (ARF), the President paid deep attention to the extension of its organizational network and sought to find a way for widely disseminating the Ten-Point Programme of the ARF that instills the Korean people with confidence in the country's liberation. Thus, a song in reflection of the contents of the programme appealing to all Koreans to unite as one in the struggle for liberating the country and building a genuine people's country came into being.

As soon as it was created, this revolutionary song gripped the hearts of all the people. Even the uneducated could clearly know the immediate object and fighting tasks of the Korean revolution through the 10-stanzaed song.

The song was popularized not only among the members of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army but also among the broad masses of people including workers and peasants.

This song displayed its great might in the struggle for the national liberation, together with other revolutionary songs.
