A thousand and hundreds of young people in North Hamgyong Province and South Phyongan Province volunteered to work in major construction sites, the leading sectors of the national economy and socialist countryside.

Meetings were held in those provinces to congratulate the young people who volunteered to work in difficult and labor-consuming fields in hearty response to the call of the Party.

There were congratulatory speeches and oath-taking speeches at the meetings.

The speakers pledged to glorify their precious youth with loyalty and feats by ceaselessly performing new miracles and feats in the worthwhile struggle for socialist construction to demonstrate their honor of being members of the advancing group and shock brigade of the Party.

The young volunteers were warmly sent off by officials, working people, youth and students in those provinces.
