This large-scale fruit producer is associated with the feats of the peerlessly great men who worked heart and soul for the country's development of fruit farming.

One day in March Juche 42 (1953) when the Fatherland Liberation War was at its height, President Kim Il Sung unfolded a plan to turn the county into a famous fruit producer by reclaiming its wastelands. He took a step to create orchards well by investing much manpower and funds and visited the county on several occasions to indicate the orientation and ways for planting fruit trees and increasing the fruit production.

Chairman Kim Jong Il devoted his efforts to bettering the large-scale fruit producer built under the deep care of the President. Visiting it in May 2001, he gave detailed instructions on the issues of developing the high-yielding fruit seeds, supplying enough transportation means and fruit-farming machines and transporting and processing the fruits.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un took steps to increase the fruit output in Kwail County as a leading fruit producer of the country. And he visited the county in September 2017 to set forth the tasks for its rapid progress, including the issues of retaining the peculiar taste of fruits, modernizing their processing processes and reinforcing modern fruit-farming machines.

The county has settled by its own efforts everything needed for the production, ranging from high-yielding fruit saplings to liquid manure, agrochemicals and phosphate fertilizer. In recent years its fruit farms raised the fertility of fields and improved the nutritive conditions of fruit trees by producing quality liquid manure with effective compound lactobacilli so as to increase per-hectare yield.

The county brought about an unprecedented rich fruit harvest in 2017 when it was visited by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un. It also took the first place in national production emulation in the field of pomiculture in 2019 and 2020 by over-fulfilling its yearly plans.
