|
|
Pyongyang, May 15 (KCNA) -- Forest conservation is in full swing in the DPRK. Relevant units in Pyongyang and other parts of the country established a stricter system for monitoring and notifying forest fire and mobilizing people to its prevention. They also scrupulously conduct the organizational and political work for providing necessary material and technical foundations. Mangyongdae District of Pyongyang takes measures to manage and operate in a responsible manner the monitoring cameras and forest fire belts installed in the forests of revolutionary sites and the area of Mt Ryongak. Sariwon City and Pongsan County in North Hwanghae Province enhance the responsibility of the reinforced forest fire watch posts and mobile posts to promptly tackle any circumstances. Other provinces take timely measures to get rid of dangerous elements by enhancing the roles of forest rangers, forest patrollers and forest fire watchers. They also engage in exterminating harmful insects, while pushing ahead with the anti-land-sliding project for protecting forest from flood. |
