Commuter Vehicles Run for Schoolchildren in DPRK
Pyongyang, May 15 (KCNA) -- Commuter trains, boats and buses are running for schoolchildren living in remote mountainous areas of the DPRK.

Those commuter vehicles are associated with the peerlessly great men's noble outlook on posterity.

In summer of Juche 58 (1969), President Kim Il Sung was told that children in Ryonha-ri and Rokrim Workers' District in Kim Hyong Jik County of Ryanggang Province had to walk a mountain path extending tens of ri (ten ri equivalent to 4km) go to school. So, he took a measure to provide a school commuter train for those schoolchildren. Thus, they could attend school by train from the start of that year's new school term.

In October 1974, Chairman Kim Jong Il provided one passenger train and two locomotives to the schoolchildren living in Rimtho village, Manpho City of Jagang Province.

Some years later, he sent another passenger train with regard to the growing number of schoolchildren. And in March 1983 he took a step to arrange a waiting room for them at a railway station.

Since the first school commuter train service was started, a large number of school commuter boats, trains and buses and even commuter cars have appeared for schoolchildren in different parts of the country, under the loving care of the Workers' Party of Korea which spares nothing for posterity.

Seeing those children go to school by commuter vehicles, their parents express deep gratitude to the WPK.

In the DPRK, you can witness schools and branch schools wherever schoolchildren exist and the operation of commuter vehicles for them.
