The Mine Timber Production Station in North Hwanghae Province raised healthy saplings acclimatized to the climatic conditions of the region, thus using less labor and materials and increasing the rate of rooting. After introducing advanced tree planting method, it maintains technical rules in digging hole, laying humus soil, tamping earth after planting and all other processes.

Several units under the Forestry Management Bureau of North Phyongan Province have ensured stocks of saplings to be followed by their qualitative planting. With the use of bio-chemical and plant growth activator produced by themselves, they are fully meeting the initial growth conditions of the saplings. At the same time responsible additional planting is underway in areas where planting was done last year.

The forestry management bureaus in Kangwon Province and South Phyongan Province are carefully tending over 7.6 million trees they planted this year, backed by technical measures for preventing diseases and attack by harmful insects.

Other provinces are also engaged in dynamic tree planting to suit to their regional and climatic conditions.
