They greatly contributed to the economic and sci-tech development of the country last year.

Prof. and Dr. Im Song Jin in his forties newly pioneered and developed the nonlinear nanooptics in the country. His research group made success for the development of information technology and nanotechnology by bringing light to the character on interaction between light and nano materials, the focus of research in the world.

He, now active as a judge of international academic associations and various SCI international scientific journals, was listed on the World Biographical Dictionary.

Chae Yong Chol established how to design a new-type diagonal turbine blade to contribute to increasing the electric-power production.

Dr. Kim Kwang Ho presented world-class research successes in the field of computational algebraic geometry and introduced them into the work for further raising the information security standard in different economic sectors.

Dr. Mun Myong Chol established a new rice-enriching method suited to the country's climatic and soil conditions and introduced it into farming, thus contributing to increasing grain production of the country.
