Agricultural officials and workers in the country have turned out as one in the immediate farm work.

Those in North Phyongan Province, in high spirits from the beginning, are transplanting rice seedlings on thousands of hectares of paddy fields every day.

After choosing the right soil for different strains of rice according to their peculiarities, they ensure the correct number of seedlings per phyong (one phyong equals to 3.954 square yards) and per cluster and over-fulfill daily plans at over 200 percent.

In South Phyongan Province, rice-transplanting has gotten into full swing after the quick servicing of farm machines.

In South Hwanghae Province, a granary on the west coast of the country, scientific and technological rice-transplanting is underway, following effective demonstration and technical workshop.

Other provinces are also over-fulfilling daily tasks by tapping all possible labor and means.
