The factory produces various kinds of kimchi (pickled vegetables) like whole cabbage kimchi and sliced radish kimchi in an industrial way to better the diet of the people. Its production process is put on a germ-free and dust-free basis.

Ri Jong Nam, chief secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Yong Sik, chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and other officials concerned looked round the factory on May 21.
