In the era, great progress was witnessed in the economic construction. Such successes would have been unthinkable without the noble outlook on life and ethics displayed by the then people.

Heroines Kil Hwak Sil and Ri Sin Ja were among those forerunners of the communist education in the era well known to the whole country.

When the Chollima workteam movement was launched in the country under the guidance of President Kim Il Sung, Kil Hwak Sil-led workteam rose up in the movement before others at the then Pyongyang Silk Mill.

At that time, Kil in her twenties had lived not far from the mill. But she moved to the hostel of the mill to take care of her workteam members with parental affection. She washed their working garments and bedclothes after the work, provided them with new clothes and even passed a few nights without sleep for a member in sickbed.

In those days, her workteam became a united group helping and leading each other forward and made innovation in production to have the honor of being the first Chollima workteam at the mill in July Juche 48 (1959).

Later, she took charge of other backward workteam and turned it into a Chollima workteam in 1960.

In praise of Kil who set an example in human remolding by turning two workteams into the Chollima workteams in less than one year, the government awarded the title of DPRK Labor Hero to her and put forward her as a model of the era.

Ri Sin Ja, an ordinary girl agitator in a farm village, too, had striven to correct the shortcomings of some dishonest peasants while taking warm care of members of her workteam. Her sincerity moved the hearts of people and helped the backward people prepare themselves to be exemplary persons loving labor and valuing the collective.

She also became a winner of the title of Labor Hero under the care of the Workers' Party of Korea.

All the people in the country are now following the beautiful traits displayed in the Chollima era by the forerunners of the communist education like Kil and Ri and the noble outlook on life shown by those in the Chollima era.
