After the liberation of Korea from Japan's colonial rule (August 15, 1945), President Kim Il Sung took a measure to build a school for the sons and daughters of martyrs who dedicated their lives to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.

He appointed the site for the school in Mangyongdae area and solved all the problems arising in its construction. And he paid deep attention to bringing up the sons and daughters of revolutionary martyrs into the national cadres.

True to the intention of the President, Chairman Kim Jong Il sent modern educational equipment and facilities and rare biological specimens to the school and showed parental love for its students, providing them with better living conditions.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who is identical to the President and the Chairman, has worked heart and soul to train the sons and daughters of martyrs into successors to the Juche revolution.

Kim Jong Un visited the school on June 6, Juche 103 (2014), the birth anniversary of the Korean Children's Union, and gave a precious teaching that the school's educational contents and methods should be steadily improved to bring up its students into the reliable pillars of the revolution. That day, he had a photo session with its students, congratulating them on their holiday.

Regarding white gem-like loyalty to the leader as their life, revolutionary obligation and conscience, the graduates of Mangyongdae Revolutionary School have creditably discharged their mission as the core in accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche.
