Coastal Structures in East Being Reinforced

Pyongyang, June 6 (KCNA) -- Fishery units on the east coast are pushing forward with the project for reinforcing coastal structures to cope with potential typhoons and high waves. The South Hamgyong Provincial Fishery Management Bureau has made achievements in anti-tidal dyke and wharf projects. The Hongwon Fishery Station has reinforced the wharf with hundreds of square meters of concrete tamping with the use of effective construction method while the Tanchon Dockyard of the Sinpho Distant-Sea Fishery Complex is taking a measure to prevent damage with wire-netted rocks. The North Hamgyong Provincial Fishery Management Bureau is pushing for the preparations for reinforcing coastal structures. Fishery stations under the bureau are fulfilling the daily plan for the production of structural frames. Several units under the Kangwon Provincial Fishery Management Bureau are also pushing ahead with the project for repairing and reinforcing anti-tidal dyke and wharfs. |
