Exhibition of Budding Artists' Works Held in DPRK
Pyongyang, June 9 (KCNA) -- Creation activities of budding artists are drawing the attention of art circles and fans in the DPRK.

Those rising artists from the fine arts creative groups and professional education units like the Mansudae Art Studio, an authorized fine arts producer of the country, and the Central Fine Arts Studio and Pyongyang University of Fine Arts have vigorously conducted their creation activities at industrial establishments of various economic sectors, farms and construction sites, including the site for building 10,000 flats in Pyongyang City, which are seething with the struggle for implementing the new five-year plan.

In the course, they produced many fine art works truthfully reflecting the struggle of the Korean people and their life, thoughts and feelings and beautiful landscapes.

A national exhibition of budding artists' works was opened at the Okryu Exhibition Hall in Pyongyang on May 11, for the purpose of encouraging the promising young artists to the creation of more excellent fine art pieces.

On display there were hundreds of such fine art works as Korean painting, oil painting, sculpture, graphic painting, acryl painting, handicraft and calligraphy, which showed well the talents of budding artists shouldering the future of the Juche fine arts.

In particular, a Korean painting "Chollima Forerunners", an oil painting "Mt Paektu", a sculpture "War Cameraman" and an embroidery "Warm Spring" aroused the admiration of experts as they give the stereoscopic impression and formative influence in harmony with clear and soft color.
