Pyongyang, June 30 (KCNA) -- The number of animals from across the world is increasing at the Central Zoo of the DPRK year by year. More than 70 species of animals have reproduced hundreds of young until now from the beginning of this year. Among them are 10-odd species of animals like lemur catta, vervet monkey and hamadryas baboon personages of different countries presented to President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il as gifts. They brought forth tens of young. And tens of species of rare animals like Vulpes fulvus dropped their young, too. 2,000-odd young, reproduced by 200-odd species of animals last year, are growing up well at the zoo. |
