April 15 Technical Innovation Shock Brigade Movement Brisk
Pyongyang, July 5 (KCNA) -- The national technical innovation contest of the April 15 Technical Innovation Shock Brigades has gained momentum since it started last April.

The contest, sponsored by the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea, is aimed to actively propel the implementation of the first-year tasks of the five-year plan through the modernization of the production processes, local provision of raw and other materials and recycling and steady improvement of the technical and economic indices.

Attending the contest are the April 15 technical innovation shock brigades active at industrial establishments and co-op farms throughout the country.

The organizations of the federation at all levels make sure all the units vigorously launch the socialist emulation drive and the drive for creating new technology so as to further strengthen the might of independent socialist economy and promote the grand revolutionary advance this year.

Industrial establishments in all fields of the national economy including the key industry and light industry and farms are waging the work to push ahead with readjustment and reinforcement of production foundation together with existing production through brisk mass technical innovation movement.

Different units in the field of electric power industry are working hard to positively invent and introduce technical innovations conducive to accelerating the technical remodeling of the existing generating equipment and increasing power production.

The units in the field of agriculture participating in the contest are conducting shock brigade activities with focus on overcoming the impact of disastrous and abnormal climatic conditions.

Many units in all fields participating in the contest are actively organizing and conducting the work to apply valuable technical innovations to production and management.
