With warm love, he had always visited factories, farms and military units and taken care of the people's livelihood with paternal affection.

On January 9, Juche 51 (1962), he called at a bean curd factory in Pyongyang City, the then Pyongyang Knitwear Factory and the then Pyongyang Silk Mill in succession to settle the people's food and clothing problems and give important instructions for the improvement of the people's standard of living.

At a consultative meeting of senior party, state and economic officials in November 1991, he placed the vegetable production in Pyongyang City on the meeting agenda and took a bold measure for bringing about a decisive turn in vegetable farming.

One day in August 1993, he gave field guidance to five farms in South Hwanghae Province without having a moment's rest from early dawn to midday to give precious instructions on farming.

At a consultative meeting of senior officials in the economic sector held in the last days of his great life, he heard from an official a report on the completion of supply of new clothes to kindergarteners and schoolchildren across the country. He was so happy that he repeatedly expressed thanks to the official.

As seen above, the President had always found his pleasure in providing the people with a happy life.

The people of the DPRK will glorify the cause of the President, holding him in high esteem as their father forever.
