Macrobian's Great Pleasure
Pyongyang, July 9 (KCNA) -- Sin Jang Ryol, a woman living in Central District of Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, observed her 100th birthday on June 25.

That day, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to her.

The DPRK has a nationwide health checkup and care system for all the old persons of over sixty. The state has registered those aged over ninety in particular, taking care of their health. The macrobians are always under the care of medical workers, being checked up and supplied with various tonics on a regular basis.

According to Pak Yong Myong, a doctor in charge of Sin, she is now normal in all life indexes. She has a good appetite and specially likes soy-based foods.

In an interview with KCNA on Friday, Sin said that her great pleasure was to see her children make successes in their works and lead a happy life.

Her children have worked at railway, art and other sectors according to their hope after graduating from universities. Her eldest son Kim Ik Son (79) is a Merited Artist who had been active as a sculptor at the Mansudae Art Studio for decades. He worked feats in building such monumental edifices in different parts of the country as the Grand Monument on Mansu Hill, the Samjiyon Grand Monument, the Wangjaesan Grand Monument, the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo and the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt Taesong.

Kim Ik Son said that he and his younger brother liked to draw pictures from childhood and they could develop their talents and gain a big success in the work under to the thankful socialist system. My mother has always told us to do work well so as to contribute to the prosperity of the country, he added.
