South Phyongan Province put efforts into strengthening the material and technical foundations for fish farming to over-fulfill the first half-yearly plan for releasing fry by 115 percent.

The Sunchon City Breed Fish Farm and other units newly built or repaired necessary facilities to provide conditions favorable to breeding and released many fry of carp, goldfish and Ryongjong fish into rivers and reservoirs.

Fish farms in South Hwanghae Province feed fishes on different kinds of feed suiting their biological features and positively apply profitable fish farming methods so as to breed more fry than the planned.

Fish farms in North Phyongan Province and South Hamgyong Province make innovations in breeding fish on the basis of the successes and experience they gained in the first half of the year.
