Premier Kim Tok Hun Inspects Different Farms
Pyongyang, July 11 (KCNA) -- Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the DPRK Cabinet, inspected different farms.

Inspecting several units including farms in Pongchon, Paechon, Yonan and Chongdan counties of South Hwanghae Province, the premier encouraged the agricultural workers striving to increase grain production despite unfavorable weather, true to the ideas and spirits of the Party congress and plenary meetings.

He urged agricultural officials to take scientific and realistic measures on the basis of last year's experience and lessons, well aware of why the Party regards it as a key issue in attaining this year's grain production goal to tackle unfavorable weather.

He also underscored the need to increase the production of organic compound fertilizers and other nutrients with locally available raw materials so as to constantly increase the crop yield while gradually reducing the consumption of chemical fertilizers and insecticide.

At several farms in Sunchon City and Mundok County of South Phyongan Province, he pointed out the failure of the work for putting manuring and water control on a scientific basis in those farms, stressing once again that it is the best way of ensuring the high, stable yield to thoroughly implement the Party's policy of scientific farming.

He also heard the opinions of officials of the farms about some practical measures to be taken by the Cabinet to improve the methods of economic management, as required by the developing reality.

Meanwhile, he visited the units in charge of food administration in the above-mentioned provinces and nurseries and kindergartens in Mundok County to learn about how they are implementing the important measures taken by the Party.

He appealed to the officials to do their jobs in a more responsible manner, true to the noble outlooks of the Party Central Committee on the people and younger generation.
