This farm is associated with the guidance of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who has worked heart and soul for the wellbeing of the people.

With an idea of building a large-scale vegetable greenhouse farm, the General Secretary inspected Jungphyong-ri in Kyongsong County of North Hamgyong Province in July Juche 107 (2018).

Looking at the vast land in the area which had been used as a military airport, he said that the area is appropriate for a vegetable greenhouse farm and such size of greenhouse would be enough to meet the provincial people's demand for vegetables. He added that he is very pleased today and he is most pleased when he does a worthy thing for the people one by one like this. And he indicated a general orientation for the construction of vegetable greenhouse farm and the preparation of its operation, stressing that the farm should be built at the highest level while ensuring both construction speed and quality as the Party was determined to provide it for the people in North Hamgyong Province, regardless of expenses.

Bearing deep in mind his trust and expectation, the soldier-builders built the farm in a little over one year.

Visiting the farm under construction in October 2019, the General Secretary said that the Jungphyong Vegetable Greenhouse Farm is a revolution, model in the building of greenhouses. He added that to build such a modern greenhouse farm in each province to supply various species of fresh vegetables to the people all the year round is a thing he has long wanted to do certainly and that it is necessary to put spurs to the building of modern greenhouse farms on a nationwide scale from the point of view of practical utility so as to improve the dietary life of the people.

He personally attended a ceremony of inaugurating the Jungphyong Vegetable Greenhouse Farm in December that year to cut the ribbon. Going round the farm, he said that there are geographically far and near places but the people are all close to him, adding he would have nothing more to desire if the vegetable greenhouse farm contributes to the diet of the people in North Hamgyong Province.

Indeed, the Jungphyong Vegetable Greenhouse Farm is a creation of Kim Jong Un's loving care for the people and it is another precious wealth representing the future of the socialist country.
