DPRK Premier Inspects Different Sectors in Samjiyon City

Pyongyang, July 18 (KCNA) -- Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, inspected several sectors in Samjiyon City. He gave pep talks to the shock brigade members of the 216 Division who are making innovative achievements in the project for improving the road for an expedition to revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu and the third-stage project for remodeling Samjiyon City including Sinmusong-dong true to the decisions made at the historic Party Congress and the plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee. He called upon officials and shock brigade members to ensure the quality of the construction at the highest level and finish the project without fail by deadline with the pride and honor of launching the grand construction campaign for further sprucing up the sacred place of the revolution. A field meeting reviewed the state of the projects. It then took necessary measures based on the discussion of the issue for all officials to surely convert the construction to a process of implementing the decision of the Party and raise a hot wind for collective emulation, the issue of using finishing building materials that are either locally produced or recycled and the issues arising in ensuring perfection in epidemic prevention work. Visiting a nursery, kindergarten, unit in food administration field and a construction site of goat stock-farm in the city, he stressed the need for officials to more scrupulously organize the work to thoroughly and devotedly implement the decisions made at the plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee without fail, bearing in mind the intention of the Party Central Committee which had taken important measures for the people and the rising generations. Acquainting himself with wheat and potato farming in the Junghung Farm, he stressed the need to take proactive sci-tech measures for reaping a rich and stable harvest despite unfavorable weather conditions and to direct main efforts to the research into high-yielding strain. |
