The volume contains 54 works including speeches, talks and letters released by the Chairman between May and December, Juche 73 (1984).

Among them are the works clarifying the idea that the unity and cohesion of our Party is the ideological and volitional unity based on the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung and organizational unity centered on the President, and the works of expounding the orientation and ways for the Party organizations to efficiently conduct Party work.

Other works deal with the idea of rallying all the service persons of the Korean People's Army closely behind the leader and making the People's Army ever-victorious militant ranks. Other works clarify the ways to dynamically wage the struggle to attain the ten long-term objectives for socialist economic construction and the idea of providing the people with more well-off and civilized living conditions.

Other works detail the idea that socialist education is, in essence, human remolding work for training man to be a powerful being, set forth the tasks for bringing about a fresh revolutionary turn in the educational work by thoroughly implementing the educational policy of the Party, and put forward the policy calling on the organizations of the trade unions to dynamically carry out the three revolutions - ideological, technical and cultural, regarding them as their main revolutionary task.

The volume also contains the works dealing with the ways of representing the greatness of the President on a scientific and philosophical basis and with the ways to help our newspapers and radio fulfill their missions.

Other works give answers to the theoretical and practical issues arising in the revolutionary struggle and construction including the issue of improving and intensifying the land management.
