Measures Taken to Prevent Heat Damage in DPRK

Pyongyang, July 19 (KCNA) -- Various sectors and units of the national economy are taking measures to prevent damage from lingering sultry weather. While keeping itself posted on ever-changing weather conditions in close touch with the State Hydro-meteorological Administration and other units, the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry puts efforts into finding out and getting rid of the elements that may disturb production. The Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex and other units direct efforts to repair and maintenance of cooling systems in order to make sure that the productivity of oxygen separator and other equipment would not decrease in the high ambient temperature. The chemical industry sector installed sunshades in major places and ensure full supply refrigerating water. The railway transport sector more frequently checks the tracks in detail to get rid of dangerous elements in advance. The mining and machine industry sectors also take measures to cope with any abnormal situation. |
