Present there were members and alternate members of the Central Committee of the union.

Officials of the Central Committee and the provincial, city and county committees of the union were on hand as observers.

The meeting discussed the ways to thoroughly implement the tasks set forth at the letter "Let the Women's Union Become a Powerful Unit in Propelling the Advance and Development of Our Style of Socialism" sent by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to the participants in the Seventh Congress of the SWUK.

Kim Jong Sun, chairwoman of the C.C., SWUK, said in her report that the women's union is now faced with an honorable task it is obliged to fulfill by giving fresh impetus to the advancing Korean revolution and propelling the ongoing general march by encouraging all the union members to implement the decisions made at the historic Party Congress and plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee. She referred to the measures to carry out the task.

She called on women's union organizations at all levels to focus on their internal work, scrupulously organize their work for enhancing the practical abilities and qualifications of primary officials and turn the work with union members into the one to understand their minds and feelings.

She called for powerfully accelerating the revolution and construction with the great spiritual strength and patriotic devotion of the Korean women by thoroughly carrying out the important tasks set forth by the respected General Secretary in his historic letter.

Speeches were made at the meeting.

After studying a draft resolution, the meeting adopted a relevant resolution.
