Youth and Students Visit Revolutionary Sites, Cemeteries of Fallen Fighters and Museums on V-Day

Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- An endless stream of youths visits revolutionary sites, cemeteries of fallen fighters of the People's Army and other places on the occasion of the V-Day, amid their warm gratitude and respect for war veterans overflowing the country. Many young vanguards visit the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum with the determination to add luster to the exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung for the victory in the war. Being briefed on such merits of the Democratic Youth League members recorded in the history of the victorious war as the fact that over 740,000 young people volunteered to go to the front upon receiving the historic radio speech of Kim Il Sung, they pledged to give full play to the wisdom and spirit of the patriotic youth in the ongoing grand march. The youth and students, who visited the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery, paid the highest tribute to the victors of the great years who are leading an eternal life. A number of youth and students visited the revolutionary sites across the country, including the Paeksong Revolutionary Site and Yuphyong Revolutionary Site. Those in different parts of the country including South Hwanghae and North Hamgyong provinces and Nampho City, visiting the cemeteries of fallen fighters of the Korean People's Army and cemeteries of patriotic martyrs, kept deeper in mind as precious mental legacy the staunch spirit of devotedly defending the leader and the country and the mass heroism displayed by fighters during the wartime. Through the meetings with war veterans, the youth and students in North Phyongan, Jagang and Kangwon provinces and Kaesong City took to their hearts the noble spirit of self-sacrifice displayed by the fighters of the People's Army during the wartime. |
