Joining the war veterans at the receptions were leading officials of the Party and the government including Choe Ryong Hae and Kim Tok Hun, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Speeches were made there.

The speakers said that word "war victory" uttered by all our people with great pride and self-confidence is always associated with the august name of President Kim Il Sung and also the war veterans, stressing that 68 years have passed since the moment when they were greatly excited to watch the fireworks celebrating the victory in the war.

Saying that only when they are led by the great leader, the noble exploits can be handed down generation after generation and worthy life can be eternal, they stressed that the exploits performed by the generation who won the victory in the war are shining further under the loving care of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who is exerting himself to respect, value and put forward the war veterans and bestow greater glory and happiness on them.

They said that the good health of war veterans, personifiers and witnesses of the mightiness of heroic Korea and its history of victory, is the great encouragement to the Party and country, adding that our people would steadily carry forward the noble spirit and tradition of victory created by the war veterans.

The participants toasted the well-being of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who represents our destiny and future, great victory of our ideology and cause defended by the generation who won the victory in the war at the cost of blood and good health and happiness of the war veterans.
