The Ryongsong Machine Complex is increasing the actual extraction rate in the production of raw materials by rearranging its casting process and applying advanced casting methods to make quality cast products with complicated interior structures.

The Pyongyang Electric Cable Factory 326 manufactured a machine for producing copper band for shielded cable with its own efforts to ensure nonstop production of electric cables. It also established a production process for recycled high-density polythene and a recycling process for polyvinyl chloride compounds, thus fully supplying materials needed in cable production.

The Pyongyang Cermet Tools Development Company developed a hard alloy material with domestic raw materials and technicians and workers of the Songchongang Electric Appliances Factory made new inventions such as a plasma cutter and a device for controlling the speed and preventing overcurrents of a DC motor.

Other factories boost production by widely introducing technical innovation plans for reducing the cost of products and improving their quality.
