Kim Tok Hun Inspects Several Sectors of South Phyongan Province
Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK, inspected several sectors of South Phyongan Province.

Looking round farms in Mundok, Sukchon and Taedong counties, he called on officials guiding the agricultural field to take thorough-going measures to prevent damage by persisting fierce heat and harmful insects, being well aware of the importance of farming for this year, and to guarantee stable yield through scientific nutritional cultivation of crops by actively generalizing experiences of leading units.

He learned about production at the Namyang Salt Works and stressed the need for salt production units across the country to drastically increase the production by introducing advanced method, regarding it as an important policy task to put the salt production on an intensive, mechanized and modern basis.

At the Anju Area Coal Mining Complex, he got himself familiar with issues arising in ensuring stable supply of electricity needed for the mining pit construction and coal production and took measures for them. He pointed to mistakes revealed by officials in the Jangsan Mine who fail to hold initiative and do not actively display creative ingenuity in business management, and discussed the ways for consolidating the foundation for the production of fireproof materials.

Field consultative meetings pressed for detailed measures for farms in the province to more scrupulously organize the manuring and cultivation of crops in the latter half of their growth, for economic guidance officials to combine operation and command with practice by heightening their responsibilities and roles and to ensure organic connection between sectors and units so as to invigorate the production.
