The book is believed to have been edited between the late 18th century and the early 19th century on the basis of part "Sangyong" from "Sansugo", a geography book published in the 18th century.

In this book, the mountains of the country are divided into great range, range, vein and offset to help understand their distribution and position easily.

It defines the section from Mt Paektu in the north to Mt Jiri in the south as one and main range and names it the Great Paektu Range, while showing 13 veins stretching from the Great Paektu Range. And it classifies the ranges derived from veins into Nos. 1, 2 and 3 offsets and explains typical mountains, peaks and ridges of each range and their positions.

The book goes to prove that Korea is one territory linked by one great range.
