One day in August of Juche 103 (2014), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who has always shown deep care for the production of mass consumer goods, visited the factory in spite of sultry weather.

That day, he went round different places of the factory to acquaint himself in detail with the production of hosiery and their quality. The production capacity of the factory is very big, he said, calling for meeting the people's demand for hosiery. He stressed that in order to normalize the production on a high level, it is important to take a thorough measure for supplying raw and other materials.

Everybody should use brain to produce goods meeting the tastes and specific features of people as the demands for hosiery vary according to season, fashion, age and sex, he said, underscoring the need to pay deep attention to designing hosiery in the direction of ensuring utility and beauty of goods and increasing the economic efficiency.

In recent years, the factory has produced silk, nano-silver antibiotic and other functional hosiery. In particular, stockings for treatment are winning popularity as they are good for the promotion of people's health.

The factory newly developed an automatic packing machine for women's summer socks and established a process for reusing dyeing waste water. The automatic packing machine with high quality and speed in packing is simple in structure and small in size than the former one.
