Attending the meeting were Ri Tu Song, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Hong Chol Jin, secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK, officials of the trade union, workers and members of the trade union in Pyongyang City.

Pak In Chol, chairman of the C.C., GFTUK, made a report at the meeting.

His report was followed by speeches made by Kim Yong Gil, chairman of the trade union of Kim Il Sung University, Ryo Kyong Hui, a lecturer of the Korean Revolution Museum, and Hwang Ho Chol, a worker at the Mangyongdae Aeguk Aluminum Sash Factory.

The reporter and speakers said that the great event of national liberation is the brilliant victory won thanks to the transparent independent idea and faith of President Kim Il Sung, noting that all the people across the country celebrate the 76th anniversary of national liberation with great national pride.

They noted that the proud history and traditions of the Republic founded by President Kim Il Sung and developed by Chairman Kim Jong Il are steadily carried forward under the outstanding and tested guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

They called for adding eternal luster to the revolutionary tradition of Mt Paektu and fully demonstrating the militant power of the heroic working class in the ongoing advance for ushering in an era of fresh upsurge in socialist construction, true to the idea and leadership of Kim Jong Un.
