The message extended warm felicitations to the president, government and people of Russia on behalf of the government of the DPRK and its people on the 76th anniversary of the liberation of Korea.

The DPRK-Russia friendship forged in blood in the struggle against the common enemy during the great hard-fought anti-Japanese war has invariably been carried forward century after century and generation after generation despite all kinds of challenges of history, it noted, adding that the Korean people are looking back with deep emotion on the servicepersons of the Red Army who dedicated their precious lives to the sacred cause for liberating Korea.

It expressed the belief that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries with long history and traditions would grow stronger onto a new strategic level on the basis of the agreements reached at the 2019 meeting in Vladivostok.

The message sincerely wished the Russian president good health and bigger success in his responsible work for the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people.
