The chairman of the Belarus Association for the Study of Juche Idea said in a speech that August 15 is a historic day when Korea was freed from the colonial rule by the Japanese imperialists.

President Kim Il Sung, who embarked on the road of revolution in his early years, set forth the original line of armed struggle to inspire all people to turn out in the great anti-Japanese war, he pointed out.

The great exploits of the President, who built a socialist state independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in defence after liberating the country from the Japanese imperialists' aggression by applying the undying Juche idea, will be immortal, he noted.

The chairman of the Algeria-Korea Friendship Association paid the highest tribute and glory to the President for accomplishing the cause of Korea's liberation, stressing that the President will always be alive in the hearts of all people.

Members of the Tangail Branch of the Bangladesh Institute of the Juche Idea praised the shining victory in the anti-Japanese revolutionary war as a miracle of the 20th century which opened a road for the resurrection of the Korean nation and encouraged a new upsurge in the anti-imperialist national liberation struggle.

The victory in the great anti-Japanese war brought about a new era of revolution for national liberation, new era of independence in which the popular masses carve out their destiny in an independent and creative way, they said, adding that progressive mankind will always remember the feats of the President who set an example of the anti-imperialist struggle for national liberation.
