Youth Shock Brigade Activities Brisk in DPRK
Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- Youth league organizations and young people are conducting brisk youth shock brigade activities for raising a fierce flame of making creation and innovation in the van of the struggle for implementing the decisions of the 8th Party Congress.

Up to now since the 10th Congress of the youth league held at the end of April this year, over 200 000 youth league officials and members across the country have been taking part in the youth shock brigade activities.

Members of the Kim Jin Youth Shock Brigade at the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex have carried out the plan for every process ahead of schedule through day-and-night campaign at the construction site of energy-saving oxygen heat blast furnace.

Youth league officials and young people at the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex finished the restoration of settling ponds, thus contributing to putting the production of electricity on a normal basis.

Members of youth shock brigades in the coal-mining field dynamically waged mass movement, fulfilling the yearly national economic plan ahead of schedule.

Officials and members of the youth league committee at the Komdok Mining Complex withdrew more than 150 tons of settled zinc concentrates from concentration tank in a week to be recycled.

The youth league committee of Changsong County has created over 300 hectares of grass fields through youth shock brigade activities, true to the instruction given by the respected General Secretary to raise sheep on a large scale in the county.
