Mandarin Fish Breeding Brisk in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 18 (KCNA) -- Big efforts are paid to breeding mandarin fish in the DPRK. Researchers, technicians and workers at pisciculture units across the country have intensified the work to put the mandarin fish breeding on a scientific basis as well as the research into collection of mandarin fish eggs. They settled the technical problems arising in artificial propagation of food-fish for the young mandarin and, recently, stocked lakes Thaechon and Yonphung with tens of thousands of young mandarin fish and hundreds of thousands of food-fish. The Central Fish Farming Institute of the Academy of Fishery Science developed an assorted feed for mandarin fish to open a prospect for putting vitality into the mandarin fish breeding. The Station for Stocking Lake Yonphung with Fishes and other fish farming units introduced this technology to lower the cost for raising the mandarin fish by half than before. The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who always works heart and soul to provide the people with tasty and nutritious fishes, visited the newly built Station for Stocking Lake Yonphung with Fishes in August Juche 107 (2018) and gave a precious instruction on actively developing the mandarin fish breeding. |
