Improvement of Production Processes Gains Momentum in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- Many industrial establishments in the DPRK are focusing their efforts on turning their production processes into labor-, energy-, cost-, and land-saving ones. Officials and working people work hard with a viewpoint that the establishment of economic production processes leads to the strengthening of independent economic foundation and creation of more material wealth with locally available resources. The Hasong Wheel Factory remodeled its finishing process into a labor- and power-saving one, thus increasing the productivity more than 1.5 times. The factory, in particular, upgraded the equipment which is of key importance in establishing the economic production process. As a result, the work load, enough for two machines in the past, came to be carried out by one, the work simplified and the quality of products and productivity raised. The Pukchang Thermal Power Complex turned the iron-ball production process at its steel casting shop into an economic one, getting much profit while producing twice more iron-balls than ever without using compressor and several other machines. The Pyongyang passenger-car rubber goods factory adopted the technology to ensure the product quality while using recycled materials at the rate of over 50 percent, thereby markedly cutting the production cost. The factory upgraded equipment to lower the per-hour power consumption by half. The remodeling of production processes into economic ones also gains momentum at other industrial establishments. |
