"Complete Collection of Kim Jong Il's Works" Vol. 38 Published
Pyongyang, August 24 (KCNA) -- The Workers' Party of Korea Publishing House brought out Vol. 38 of "Complete Collection of Kim Jong Il's Works", a library of immortal Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism carrying Chairman?Kim Jong Il's works in a chronological order and in a systematic and comprehensive way.

The volume contains 61 works including historic speeches, talks and letters released by the Chairman from January to October, Juche 74 (1985).

It carries the works which underline the need to bring about a new turn in the Party ideological work as required by the developing reality and carry out revolutionary tasks by always holding fast to the Party's policies and mobilizing the Party organizations and members in guiding the economic work.

Some works stress the need to thoroughly implement the Party's military line to further develop the Korean People's Army into a matchless rank capable of defeating any provocations by the enemy, and indicate the idea that all sectors and units should break through difficulties and obstacles with the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and fortitude to achieve greater successes in production and construction by giving full play to the advantages and vitality of a new administrative and economic guidance system.

Some works underscore the need to build Pyongyang City in a far-sighted way and Nampho Barrage as an edifice of eternal value, and indicate the orientation and ways to wage a vigorous struggle for creating more famous songs and masterpieces in the field of literature and art.

The volume also carries works giving perfect answers to theoretical and practical issues arising in the revolutionary struggle and construction, including the issue of producing more good-quality daily necessaries, the issue of building public catering service centers to improve public welfare services, the issue of setting up more bases for education of gifted students and positively encouraging swimming.
