The symposium on the theme of "Scientific and intensive greenhouse vegetable farming" was aimed at sharing and generalizing successes and experiences made during greenhouse vegetable cultivation technique research and production.

Published at the symposium were over 70 scientific and technical proposals presented by scientists, technicians, teachers, post-graduates and field officials from dozens of units including the State Academy of Sciences, the Academy of Agricultural Science, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Pyongyang University of Agriculture, Wonsan University of Agriculture and provincial rural economy committees.

There were lectures and watching of videos on technical issues arising in preventing damage from disastrous weather and harmful insects in greenhouse vegetable farming and cultivating vegetables in different conditions during the symposium.
