New Books Published in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- New books were published in the DPRK. The Art and Literature Publishing House released the enlarged editions of full-length novels such as "The Arduous March", "On the Tuman River" and "The Grim Battle Area", parts of the cycle of novels "Immortal History" dealing with the exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung who accomplished the historic cause of national liberation through the hard-fought anti-Japanese struggle. It newly published the book titled "A Flower Blooms on a Millennium-old Tree" as a part (legends about the Shining Star of Mt Paektu) of the cycle of the books on revolutionary legends, which reflects the feelings of the Korean people ardently missing Chairman Kim Jong Il. It also brought out a collection of short stories vividly depicting the love of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the younger generations. New full-length novels, collection of medium-length stories, a collection of epics and collection of poems were also released. The Kumsong Youth Publishing House published many books including a full-length real-life story "Mt Madu", full-length novels "The Voice of Mother" and "The Blare of Bugle" and a collection of fairy tales and fables. The Working People's Organizations Publishing House and the Science and Encyclopedia Publishing House published books conducive to preparing people to be intelligent workers and creators of new culture. |
