Memorial Meeting for Korean A-bomb Victims Held in Japan
Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- A meeting took place in Tokyo on August 9 in memory of the Korean victims of the A-bombs dropped by the U.S.

Present there were Kim Ik Sun, chairperson of the Nishi Tokyo Headquarters of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), Ha Su Gwang, secretary general of the Fact-Finding Group for the Probe into the Truth about the Forcible Drafting of Koreans, Ri Tong Je, chairman of the Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification, other Koreans in Japan, and Japanese citizens.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the victims.

Speakers said that Koreans, who had been abducted by Japanese imperialists and forcibly brought to Japan in the past, suffered untold misfortune due to A-bomb disasters, while being subjected to inhumane treatment, contempt and grinding toil.

However, the Korean victims have not yet got any apology and reparation, due to the Japanese government's policy of national discrimination, they said.

On the contrary, the Japanese authorities are justifying the past wars of aggression and persistently committing heinous acts hostile toward the DPRK and Koreans in Japan, they pointed out.

They expressed their will to intensify a solidarity struggle for probing into the truth about the crimes against humanity committed by Japan in the past and exacting apology and reparation for them.
