The presentation held on the theme of "Domestic production of raw and other materials and equipment and recycling, development of new products and improvement of quality" was aimed at sharing and generalizing sci-tech successes and experience achieved by cosmetics development and production units, and increasing self-reliance in the cosmetics industrial field.

Taking part in the presentation were officials, teachers, researchers and post-graduates from the Aromatic Cosmetics Analysis Institute under the Academy of Light Industry, Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry, the Pyongyang Cosmetics Factory, the Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory, the Pyongyang Essential Oil Factory, etc.

Presented there were ver 40 valuable treatises that gave answers to various sci-tech problems in implementing the domestic production of raw and other materials for cosmetics and recycling, upgrading production processes and developing new products keeping up with the world trend.

There was also a symposium on the direction of developing multi-purpose cosmetics.
