During the Chollima age, the young people performed outstanding feats at difficult and toilsome worksites under the slogans of "Young People, Let's Undertake All Difficult Work!" and "Young People, to the Seas, Coal Mines and Forests!"

Young builders of the 80-km Haeju-Hasong railway section finished in 75 days the project that required the removal of hundreds of thousands of cubic meters of earth, building tens of millions of square meters of retaining walls, dozens of bridges and hundreds of residential homes.

Those who took part in the development of the Songnam Youth Coal Mine excavated the first lump of coal in the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance.

Finding out that there was not enough manpower for coal transportation, many young students from universities and colleges (at that time) across the country including Kim Il Sung University decided to lay the railway section branching into coal mines during their school holidays.

Over 1 700 young workers and farmers from all areas of the country joined in this project.

Thanks to their struggle, the transmission line extension project, that would otherwise take 2 months at best, was finished in a matter of 22 days. And the project for laying the railway section branching into coal mines and structural projects were also successfully done in a bit over a year.

The feats of other young people also shine resplendently with the Chollima age. They include those who readily jumped into icy water in mid-winter and carried out underwater excavation to do their part in speeding up the electrification project of the Pyongyang-Sinuiju railway line, those who overfulfilled their daily plans by 500% for the construction of the Kanggye Youth Power Station, and those young fisherwomen of the Nampho Fishery Station who launched a fishing campaign which even men found difficult to do.

Now young people of the DPRK keep fully demonstrating their wisdom and stamina in the worthwhile struggle for socialist construction to open a new era of a fresh upsurge and massive transformation in the revolution.
