Pyongyang, August 30 (KCNA) -- Kyongsang Kindergarten in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, is famous for raising many music prodigies.

The kindergarten in Changjon Street was opened in April Juche 43 (1954).

From the end of the 1970s, it has performed a mission as an early art education unit in the city.

It has tens of rooms specializing in teaching Korean alphabets and various musical instruments.

Its teachers pay primary attention to discovering children with instinct for art at the nurseries in the city.

The chosen children learn how to play the piano, cello, violin, guitar, etc., according to their own wishes and wishes of their parents and the judgment by experts.

Teachers give lessons on musical instruments, rhythmic movement, hearing and sight reading.

Spending their time with children, teachers invent rational education methods and many teaching aids suited to children's characters, hobbies, talents and the level of intellectual development.

For decades, the kindergarten has produced many prodigies who were highly acclaimed in various international contests like international piano concours.

Visiting the reconstructed kindergarten in May Juche 101 (2012), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un appreciated the teachers' services of bringing up many music prodigies and instructed them to provide the children with better living conditions.
