Among them is the story about a student called Hwang Ji Hyok who matriculated in Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering in July last.

Hwang Ji Hyok's father passed away when he was young and his mother was suffering from an incurable disease for a long time. He was sick for family atmosphere.

At that time, his middle school teachers and neighbors looked after him with parental affection. When Hwang received an affiliation letter for university, they regarded his pleasure as their own and provided him with school things and new clothes.

Officials and teachers of the university, too, provided him with school things and necessities so as to make him get engrossed in study without inconvenience.

In an interview with KCNA, Hwang Ji Hyok said:

The grateful socialist system put forward me as a university student. I will study hard to become a competent scientist contributing to the country's prosperity.
