Cultivation of New Land Brisk in DPRK
Pyongyang, September 5 (KCNA) -- The campaign for cultivating new land was brisk across the DPRK in the first half of this year.

Officials and working people in different parts of the country engage in cultivating a large area of new land.

Kangwon Province cultivated over 150 hectares of new land near reservoirs and rivers.

North Hamgyong Province vigorously pushes ahead with expanding the area of cropland, thus restoring hundreds of hectares of farmland.

South Phyongan Province reclaimed reed fields and restored damaged land, thus cultivating rice and maize on hundreds of hectares of new land.

Cities and counties in North Phyongan Province found a huge area of new land by straightening rivers and readjusting levees.
