In the message the Lao president, on behalf of the Central Committee of the LPRP, the Lao government and people and on his own behalf, extended warm congratulations and wishes to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and, through him, to the Central Committee of the WPK and the fraternal government of the DPRK and all the Korean people on the occasion of its 73rd founding anniversary.

The Lao president in the message noted that he was very pleased over the fact that the Korean people with ardent patriotism have achieved comprehensive and big successes in firmly preserving the political stability of the country, ceaselessly developing the economy, strengthening the national defence and security and improving the people's livelihood for the past 73 years since the foundation of the DPRK under the experienced and determined guidance of the glorious WPK founded by the great leader President Kim Il Sung. He also said that he was very glad about the ever-rising status and role of the DPRK in the regional and international arenas.

The message said that he took great pride in the fact that the traditional and good relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries which had been provided by the preceding leaders of the two parties and two countries have steadily developed to provide the peoples of the two countries with substantial benefits, and that they have made important contributions to regional and global peace, stability, cooperation and development.

It expressed firm belief that under the determined leadership of the WPK headed by Kim Jong Un the DPRK would achieve ceaseless development, progress and prosperity in attaining its goal of building a powerful socialist country, and achieve the peaceful reunification of the country free from outsiders' interference.

Availing himself of the auspicious occasion, the Lao president sincerely wished Kim Jong Un happiness in good health and fresh bigger success in his noble and honorable work, hoping that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two parties, two states and two peoples would be further beautiful and immortal.
