The message extended warm congratulations to Kim Jong Un and, through him, to the party, the state and the people of the DPRK, on behalf of the party, state and people of Vietnam on the occasion of the 73rd founding anniversary of the DPRK (September 9, 1948-September 9, 2021).

The message said that the fraternal Korean people have accomplished many important successes in the cause of construction and development of the country for the past 73 years under the leadership of the WPK headed by President Kim Il Sung, General Secretary Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the WPK and president of the State Affairs of the DPRK.

It expressed belief that the fraternal party, the state and people of the DPRK will surely overcome all difficulties and challenges and successfully attain the goals set forth by the 8th Congress of the WPK under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.

It said that the party, state and people of Vietnam always attach importance to the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the DPRK personally provided by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il Sung and cultivated by the leaders and the peoples of several generations of the two countries.

Being pleased to see the recent development of the relations between the two countries, the message said that the official goodwill visit to Vietnam in March, 2019 made by Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs, served as an important milestone in cooperative relations between the two parties and two countries.

It expressed conviction that the traditional relations of friendship between Vietnam and the DPRK would steadily develop to meet the interests of the peoples of the two countries for peace, stability, cooperation and development of the region and world thanks to the common efforts by the leaders and peoples of the two countries.

The message wished Kim Jong Un good health and greater successes in performing his noble duty.
