Wreaths Laid at Martyrs' Cemeteries in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 10 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid at the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt Taesong, the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery in Sinmi-ri and the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery on September 9, the 73rd founding anniversary of the DPRK. Wreath-laying ceremonies were attended by Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, and Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK. Also present at the ceremonies were cadres of the Party and the government Ri Il Hwan, Jong Sang Hak, Thae Hyong Chol, Kim Yong Chol, Pak Jong Gun and Jang Jong Nam, and officials of the Party Central Committee, the SPA Standing Committee, the Cabinet, ministries, national institutions and Party and power organs in Pyongyang City. Present there were Kwon Yong Jin, Ri Yong Gil and other members of the armed forces organs. Placed on the wreath-laying stands of the martyrs' cemeteries were wreaths in the names of the WPK Central Committee, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK. The visitors observed a moment's silence in memory of martyrs. On the same day bouquets and flowers were placed at the statues and cemeteries of martyrs, memorial towers for the fallen soldiers of the People's Army and graves of martyrs in different parts of the country. |
