New Technologies Developed in Shoe-making Industry
Pyongyang, September 15 (KCNA) -- The shoe-making industrial sector witnesses ever-rising zeal for developing new technologies for using locally available raw materials and for recycling.

In the first half of this year the Shoe-making Institute succeeded in more than 20 researches including domestic production of all kinds of glazes and the development of vinyl chloride stabilizer from waste lead compound.

The Ryuwon Footwear Factory has remodeled the shape of injection molding machine in the wake of the completion of insole production method from waste plastic, and developed and introduced an adhesive with locally available raw materials, thus saving raw materials and manpower and lowering the cost.

The Wonsan Leather Shoes Factory pushes ahead with the research to use the waste vinyl as raw material, and other footwear factories actively develop and introduce new technologies for increased production.
