The theme of the presentation was "Local Production of Raw and Other Materials and Recycling" and the aim was to widely disseminate and generalize the successes and experience gained in the researches on chemical materials and to increase the production of chemical goods conducive to the economic construction and the improvement of the standard of people's living.

Officials, teachers, researchers and graduate students of scientific and educational organs including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology and the State Academy of Science participated in the presentation.

Presented to it were over 100 essays, completed in the course of academic pursuit and creation for developing chemical materials sector.

Highly appreciated to be of great practical significance were those essays that proved in depth the sci-tech problems arising in making our own-type catalyst, pencil lead material, nano-paint powder, nano-sulfur liquid, etc.
